Notes | For Master students of the fields Industrial Engineering and Management, Information Engineering and Management, Economics Engineering or Economathematics. Objective: The student develops an own idea for an economic experiment in this research direction. Students work in groups. Changing topics each semester. For current topics, see http://polit.econ.kit.edu or https://portal.wiwi.kit.edu/Seminare Seminar Papers of 8–10 pages are to be handed in. For Master students, grades will be based on the quality of presentations in the seminar (40%) and the seminar paper (40%). Additionally students will have to hand in two abstracts with their paper – one with a maximum length of 100 words and one with a maximum length of 150 words. The quality of abstracts will reflect with 20% in the final grade. Students can improve their grades by 0.3 for good and constructive discussion contributions or by 0.7 for excellent and constructive discussion contributions. Recommendation: Knowledge in the field of experimental economic research or behavioral economics as well as in the field of microeconomics and game theory may be helpful. |
